The Corporate Ladder Can Be Climbed in Heels!!!!

LOS ANGELES (May 22, 2009) - The YWCA Greater Los Angeles held its Phenomenal Women Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Among the speakers was Councilwoman, Jan Perry, who spoke about her experiences as a woman in the political arena.

 AT&T's Vice President of External Affairs, Denita Willoughby, delivered the keynote speech at the luncheon. The audience was very engaged as she talked about her experiences climbing the corporate ladder and gave words of wisdom and encouragement. Willoughby leads the company's local government and community affairs activities in the Los Angeles area and is responsible for local policy and philanthropic initiatives.

For over 38 years, the YWCA Greater Los Angeles partner with many of Los Angeles businesses in honoring the achievements of women in the workplace.  Nominated by their employers, women are celebrated and recognized for their professional accomplishments.
