The YWCA GLA celebrates the recent awarding of two program-specific, one-year grants from both JPMorgan Chase Foundation and the California Health Foundation. Focusing on Workforce Development, the $105,000 JPMorgan Chase Foundation grant will be used to support the YWCA Career Training Academy (CTA) which serves the families of Job Corps students and the surrounding communities of South Los Angeles. The $5,000 grant from the California Health Foundation, in collaboration with Maria Washington will support Health and Wellness programming across the organization.

"We are especially grateful for this funding and the growing partnership with JPMorgan Chase and California Health Foundations," expressed Tracy Solomon Clark, Director of Development. "With this funding, we will be able to expand and further develop vital programming for the community."

Workforce Development has been a long-time focus of the YWCA and through pivotal partnerships with dedicated funders like JPMorgan Chase this program continues to flourish and grow. With the California Health Foundation funding, the organization will continue developing community efforts that promote and create opportunities for health and wellness, a Hallmark Program of YWCAs across the nation.
