"If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded." Maya Angelou

We care. The YWCA of Greater Los Angeles pursues success by caring for our community. Rooted in the essential mission of eliminating racism empowering women, we strive to create and execute community-focused programs that make a significant difference in the lives of women, children, and families.

We listen. In our ever-changing world, it is highly important that the services we offer are in direct response to current community needs. Informed and strengthened by a rich service history, we are constantly evolving to ensure everything we do is worthy and relevant.

We act. We act as a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. We act as a guide and help to encourage self sufficiency. We act as a beacon affecting change on behalf of racial justice and women's empowerment. Today's YWCA offers a myriad of programs focusing on six key areas of service: Advocacy, Child Development, Youth Services, Sexual Assault Crisis Services, Job Training, and Empowerment Projects.

Safe space to live, learn, and grow.
