Lori Carmona, CEO of YWCA Greater Los Angeles since November 2023, is a lifelong advocate for justice, inclusion, and community impact. She has dedicated her career to roles that directly impact and support people. Her journey spans various roles in communications, management, and transformative leadership at organizations including the American Heart Association and the March of Dimes. During her nearly 20-year tenure as CEO of AbilityFirst, she completed two capital campaigns totaling $10M while advancing and championing inclusive, person-centered services.

As CEO of YWCA Greater Los Angeles, Lori is leading the organization through a bold five-year strategic vision to establish YWCA Greater Los Angeles as the model movement that facilitates self-empowerment for women, families, and sexual assault and domestic violence survivors through holistic, comprehensive care, economic possibilities, and community connection.

Lori was elected to the Board of Directors of YWCA USA in June 2025 where she brings her deep expertise in nonprofit leadership, strategic planning, and unwavering commitment to the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women.
